Weekend Skate Tour Part 2

Evan tried this three stage rail nearly a hundred times. Never surrender, never fail!
Mick worked more on ground tricks in Mulvane and started practicing a low rail. He also learned how to pump on a half pipe. Good weekend for the midget of the crew.

Rebecka caught major air and wouldn't give up until she landed it. She also learned that falling isn't that bad.

Jose ollies from the box, learning to perfect his kick flips.

Preston hit the three stage with Evan making grinding a major event this weekend.

Lucas ollies from the wall before heading for more variations of the cave man.

Trever found new heights out of the bowl. Though later his board was laid to rest from a rough landing.
This weekend we invaded several towns over several days. Winfield was a constant due to Spring Break and even Ark City got a little skate love on Saturday when the kids set up a mock park in the garage sale parking lot. Sunday we once again hit Winfield so I could slap a puck around a bit before heading to Mulvane. Their park is small but there were a few aspects the kids really liked. It seemed to have a much better beginers area so Mick was actually able to practice things he had been unable to before. We then proceded to Derby, with pb&j's and water jugs in hand, to skate a park we seem to be making some friends at. They added lights and music up there over the last week which was awesome, even if we had to hear the same Guns and Roses songs over and over (dang you T-95). We did get harrassed some by the police but still it was a great day of skating and a lot of fun. Wonder what next weekend will bring?

  1. Maybe you could be a better example to the kids and not call it being "harassed" by the police.

  2. It was a simple case of harasment. Sorry but my 8 year old could see that. We call it as it is. When police show up to an area uncalled then start nit picking at people in that area that are not breaking the law that is harasment. The police brought two cars down with no reason other then in the hopes of catching a crime. When they did not find one they tried to create one.

  3. That's funny. You must be a talented skater to skate with a police scanner strapped to yourself, or maybe you were sitting in their dispatch listening to the phone calls coming in??? How in the heck do you know they were not called? Move away and let the kids find a good role model to hang around with!!!

  4. Nope I don't even skate. I did do the unthinkable though and ask the police why they had been called down to which they replied that they had not. Your last statement does cause me to pause. I don't force the kids to hang out nor did I ask for the work that I am now involved with. I'm guessing you yourself aren't trying to be a role model or involved in childrens lives so since no one is jumping in and trying to be involved then I guess in the best interest of the kids I should stay. A word of advice try not to speeak out when you have no clue what you are talking about
